My triumphant return to flickr isn't quite triumphant. It's quite lazy. I didn't do much to this picture other than process it at little bit in Lightroom. This is from when I went to Montebello. I should go to take more pictures sometime, but I've been too busy (read lazy).

My friend invited me to a boat ride to Montebello to do some activities. This is part of the inside of the Chateau Montebello. I didn't take too many photos when I was here because I was doing too many things.

I went to visit my sister this past weekend and went to Jackson-Triggs to do a wine tour. They were all booked up until later, so my friends and I just did the wine tasting. This is what the vineyard looks like.

More Lightroom processing. Pretty powerful stuff in there for the normal processing that I do.

Motion Blur

Here I am sitting in the car getting driven around in Seattle by my dad's friend. I decided to turn down the aperture and have a long exposure while he was driving. This is the result. I don't think I've ever done a motion blur before and posted it (I don't remember what I've posted and don't feel like checking).

Rideau Canal

Here's me using my tripod the way it was meant to be used... sort of. I have the Manfrotto 804RC2 head so it can go out sideways. The camera is hanging over the water in this shot. I had to hold on to the tripod legs because well... I didn't trust the balance of it.

Used Lightroom to process this picture from a single RAW. My cousin introduced me to Lightroom processing so I decided that I would give it a try for the next picture I upload... so this is it.

Here's the back of the Fairmont at slightly a different angle. My friend is standing there in the middle. I don't know what else to say about this picture.

Convention Centre Time Lapse

I wasn't sure I was going to ever process this, but here it is. It's pretty short and I was taking shots at 8fps just for fun. That's why you can see so little movement in the cars. The point is that you see the lights changing colour at the top of the Convention Centre.

Ottawa Convention Centre

This finished building a few months ago, I believe. Finally took the time a few weeks ago to go shoot it with my cousin. Some of the lights at the top of the Convention Centre were changing colours. I have a bunch of shots of those, I might make a time lapse video of that one day.

Fireworks in Quebec

This one's from Canada Day while I was in La Malbaie. For a really small town, they had a pretty large celebration. I was standing pretty close to the fireworks launch pad. So close that my friend was getting uncomfortable while they were getting shot above us.

Took this from the other side of the river down the stairs from the Museum of Civilization. Always have to get the Parliament buildings when I go out to shoot with my cousin.

Here's this little backyard/courtyard at the Richelieu. The entrance is on the left and our room was to the right of this... it was really awkward to get to it. You had to go to the 2nd floor, then not go to the main elevators, but go down a long hallway to find a dead end with an elevator that goes to the 6th floor.

Eagle in Seattle

This is one of the things I went to see while I was in Seattle. It's in the Olympic Structure Park called Eagle. Not sure where the inspiration for the statue is... or even the name. We can see the Space Needle in the background. A cloudy day in Seattle, just like the stereotype goes.

Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu

Canada Day weekend my friends and I went to this place to play some golf. It's pretty deep into Quebec. It's in La Malbaie. My friend who gambles got this package for free, so he gave it to us. The casino associated with this hotel is the Casino de Charlevoix. Not a very impressive looking casino, so I didn't bother taking a shot of it. It might be in the background of one of my other pictures from here.

Seattle Panorama

Took this panorama from my dad's friend's roof of his condo. This was all handheld, but that's no impressive feat because Photoshop does wonders for stitching. I don't remember, nor do I want to count, how many photos this was, but there was no processing done on it, other than sharpening.

As the title says, it's the Rideau Canal at night. On the left side, you can see the Parliament, on the right you can see the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. I was standing on a bridge taking a picture of the Convention Centre and I saw this shot and thought it was cool.

Didn't feel like I needed much processing. I just blended a bit of the 0EV into the +2EV.

Space Needle

I recently went to Seattle for an interview with Microsoft. While I was there, I met up with a friend of my dad's and he showed me around a few places. This is taken from the roof of the condo he lives in.
Seattle's not so bad. Heard from a lot of people it was depressing and other stuff. Sure, it's overcast, but it seems decent enough.

Played with lights. My friend got some new light sabres for real cheap and we played in the park with the lights for these photos. That sounded a bit weird, but anyway... enjoy the reflection.
